In EVERYTHING Give Thanks

In a chaotic world that continues to reject reality…those who follow Christ remind themselves of the command given us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you”

I’m looking at this verse in a new way today. Much I do not understand but as I give thanks, I am strongly reminded that God does understand and knows what is happening and why and furthermore allows it. I remove from myself fear and worry as I give thanks for God’s perfect knowledge, His presence, and purposes. Great verse to rest in and find comfort!

Because of the loving devotion of the LORD we are not consumed, for His mercies never fail. Lamentations 3:22

What kind of world would this be if He decided to withdraw his mercies and his steadfast, loyal love? I cannot go there! It is unimaginable as far as I am concerned. My faithful God puts up with my inconsistencies but yet gives grace and help when I ask in recognition of the fact that I need Him more than anyone/anything.

Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift. 2 Corinthians 9:15

In a world trying every and anything to make sense of their life…the solution to our sin problem and the resulting chaos of lives separated from our Creator God…Jesus Christ still stands at the door of every human heart knocking. His sinless sacrifice on the cross satisfied the Father and in Him only we find forgiveness of sin and connection with God. Be sorry for your sin, turn to Him today. The hope and help many are looking for are found in Him only. Don’t put this decision off…time is short, and you need to decide to be sorry for your sin and turn to Christ today. You will find mercy and forgiveness.
